French War Brides Get Musical Send-Off

March 9, 1946

Paris Sent Off

Paris, France
A trainload of French war brides of American Soldiers is shown about to pull out of the Gare St. Lazare in Paris for Le Havre, where the brides embarked for the United States to join their husbands. An American Military band on the platform fives them a tooting send-off. Last thing the brides heard as the train left the station was “The Marseillaise”
