Camp Philip Morris Delivers GI Bride’s Baby

page 3.

Le Havre, March 10, - A French war-bride on her way to join her husband gave birth to a baby daughter this afternoon at the 166th General Hospital in the Camp Philip Morris staging area.

The husband is former T/5 John Fletcher of Wadsworth, Ohio.

The baby, first to be born at the staging area, was delivered by Capt. John D. Ryan of New York City, a member of the hospital staff.

NOTE: After researching the manifests I discovered that a Jeanine Fletcher was the be on the Vulcania leaving on March 12, 1946 and arriving in New York on March 21, 1946.
