ROME -- …The English bride, Mrs. Dominick Diannotti came to the United States on the Argentina, the first ship to transport English brides to this country. She will tell of the part played by English civilians in the winning of the war.

ROME – Experiences undergone during the battle of Britain, and the role played by English civilians, were outlined last night by Mrs. Dorothy Diannotti, the fiest English war bride to arrive in the city, in the second in a series of lectures sponsored by the Rome Historical Society. Maj. James B. Dalgish, son the G. A. Dalglish, 604 N. George st., who served as a member of the R.C.A.F. and the A.A.F., spoke in the second of two talks last night. The lectures were held in the auditorium of Jervis Library.
